  • Guo Da Li

Due to the wedding preparations that involved quite a number of traditional stuffs, I had become quite... auntie. Hahaha. Okie, not a those void decks aunties, but savvy auntie. All the Guo Da Li stuffs were taken off the internet and What-to-dos.

10:30am - The Groom-to-be arrives!! And so qiao. When my mother opened the door, she screamed, "Huh!! It's you. I know you" at Smelly Boy's auntie. Turned out that both of them used to work at the same place and the auntie used to come to our old house last time. I should have recognise her, but that time I was too young. Hah hah! That is really qiao loh!! Luckily, I wasnt a very naughty child.

So, the mother, mother-in-law and Smelly Boy's auntie chit-chat about old times while Smelly Boy and I checked out what the parents had prepared for us. Got alot of things loh. Very interesting things also. I best like the Cantonese biscuits, haven eaten such biscuits before. Then, we decided to snap some pics.

Changed clothes halfway coz I looked too plain next to Smelly Boy. Special thanks to my auntie, who drove me to the tailor to make my outfit. I would say the kebaya is tricky. Really have to tailor it, in order to look right. But I forgot to makeup properly. LOL!

Papa was very happy that day I think. Hurhurhur!

  • Countdown to less than 30 days!

To becoming Mrs Tan or Mrs Zeng!!

Smelly boy is very special. His dad has got 2 surnames. Nothing to do with drama-drama family history. Just a super blur Medical staff who registered Smelly Boy's dad surname as Tan. So, our future family will continue this very special tradition. Just of one 100% stranger's mistake. Hahah.

Very excited liao. We went for the gown fittings last week and waited for a super long time. The place was super crowded with lotsa people and not much gowns for me to choose. Haiz, I didnt choose any cheongsams because I still couldnt fit into any of them. So super duhz!! Coz there are really lotsa beautiful Shanghai inspired cheongsams around. My mother also abit sad lah, coz her daughter used to look very slim... now dunno why becomes so plump. Alot of dresses cannot wear. Caught in the middle. Not too slim to wear the cheongsams, yet not too fat to wear the special category gowns.

Heehee, simply excited!! Coz my auntie brought me to make a very special attire. Will reveal this attire soon, when it is ready.

ps: I am starting my very own blogshop. "Oh no, not again, another blogshop..." Eh! My blogshop is also as special as all the other blogshops one okie? I am not selling clothes, coz no models wanna model for me and I am too plump, and I got no famous sister. So, I gonna sell other stuffs. Stay tuned okie?

The pics were out since May, but the wedding preparations and work have been draining my time and energy. It's more complicated than expected. And surely, the guestlists is drving both Smelly Boy and myself nuts. Not saying that I am a very nice person, but handling more than 300 people can make my blood boil sometimes. We have 2 wedding dinners to prepare somemore. And honestly, people you thought are your friends... are usually "were your friends". What type of crap is this? Giving us tons of headaches and stuff. As if we owe them a favour if they turned up at the wedding dinner. And those who constantly wince and wince and wince about so-so and who-who whenever they needed our help... conveninently disappear when we needed real help. Luckily, we have genuine friends and things were done smoothly. Really angry de loh...!!

Anyway, I managed to sit down and sew all my sisters corsages. Quite a nice bargain. A Sg lady tried to sell one corsage for SG$9.90. But I managed to get one corsage for RM$2.20 when we went to Malaysia to attend to our Malaysia wedding preparation. Most of my relatives are in Malaysia, so we had a 2nd wedding dinner. The Msia corsage does not come with the ribbon, so I had to sew them myself. Its alright, I can do sewing. I had 9 sisters. Heehee!!

Actually, I am really vexed with so many stuffs now. Next week will be the bridal gown fittings and I am still plump. Going on a tofu diet today!!

    Cheers, Chloe
